Again, I am posting this ahead of schedule hoping to receive suggestions on what might be most helpful to encourage readers to keep reading as well as suggestions on how to bring out discussions about these passages. I may revise and repost them at the appointed times.
Note: The Read the Bible in Chronological Order blog series has been moved to another of my blogs: Bible Bites 4 You. Expect to find the weekly posts on that blog instead of here.

Brief overview of the passages for this week:
The dialog continues between Job’s friends-turned-accusers and Job as he insists upon his innocence. Job speaks at length about wisdom in chapter 28. God enters the dialog in Chapters 38-40 and Job responds. (to be continued in week 3)
Suggestions for things to look for:
- Examples of the power or strategies of Satan in Job’s situation as well as today.
- How not to “encourage” a friend who is suffering.
- Ways God uses suffering, then and now.
Sharing what we learn:
- How can you relate to Job as you read these passages?
- Who do you think you might have sided with if you had been a part of that conversation many centuries ago? Why?
- Have you gained any new insights to what God is like from these passages?
- Are there passages you read this week that confuse you? Which ones?
- How does your faith in God compare with that of Job?
