I am getting my ducks in a row to lead/encourage my local Bible study group on a challenge to read through the Bible in a year. I originally planned to post on this blog about this Bible reading plan, but have moved it to my Bible Bites 4 You blog instead. This will begin on January 1, 2019. We will read the Bible, not straight through, but in the order that the events happened. I tweaked a PDF file for this plan and posted it here: Chronological Bible Reading Plan – weekly overview

I would like to think that more than one group could benefit from the posts and files I will make available on Facebook and here on this website. So for now as I’m getting organized, I hope I can also generate some interest for others to join us in our Bible-reading challenge.
I plan to create weekly tri-fold bookmarks and make them available as PDF downloadable files on Bible Bites 4 You as well as on our Facebook group. These bookmarks can be printed and kept in your Bible to check off your progress and take notes on what you read. I’ve posted the first bookmark here for you to preview: Chronological Bible – Week 1 (Note: scroll down to the “second page” to see the front of the tri-fold bookmark.)
I will state here and probably quite often throughout the year that I don’t presume to be the “teacher” for this reading challenge. The Holy Spirit alone is our teacher. We will get out of it what the Holy Spirit spills into our spirits as we read and learn. I am simply trying to serve as a catalyst to share the materials and to encourage dialog between many readers. If you choose to join us, I encourage you to leave comments often or from time to time to share what you are learning and to encourage others to keep reading.

This looks good Janice. I’ve read the whole Bible but I’ll read it again.
I’m thrilled that you plan to read it with us. I hope you will post from time to time about what your are getting out of the passages.
